Dr. Bridgette Webster completed her undergraduate and master's degrees from Louisiana State University and her doctoral studies at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She has worked in the mental health field for thirty-one years and currently serves as Director of Mental Health Services at the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, and holds national certification as a Certified School Social Worker Specialist. Dr. Webster served as Master Nonviolent Crisis Intervention instructor with the Crisis Prevention Institute for 18 years. She has served as mentor and advocate for public school students and functions as a bridge builder between school personnel, parents, and community agencies.
As a member of various professional and civic organizations, Dr. Webster works tirelessly to make a positive impact on her local state, national, and international community. Some of the organizations she has supported include: founding member of Louisiana Association of School Social Workers, President, Touch a Life Foundation, Vice-President (assisted care-givers of the chronically ill), Ladies of Vision (fed homeless women and children and supported scholarship fund-raisers), Partners in Peace (violence prevention), International Association of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certified Instructors, American Red Cross, School Social Work Association of America, Louisiana Mental Health Association (2 term board member), National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and NASW Louisiana Chapter, Academy of Certified Social Workers, Nazarene Baptist Church Voice – Editor in Chief and Co-Chair for the annual Southern University College of Business scholarship fund raiser: “Gala on the Bluff”.
Chelsea Trice, LCSW-BACS, serves as Director of Behavior Health at Thrive Academy, a unique public and part-time boarding school focused on serving youth experiencing adversity. She received her BSW in 2012 from Southeastern Louisiana University and MSW from Louisiana State University. During her undergraduate career, Chelsea served on the NASW-LA board as the BSW Student Representative.
Chelsea has practiced school social work for ten years, the entirety of her professional career. She began her school social work journey as part of Capital Area’s school-based therapy program before transitioning to Thrive as their first social worker. Her role has been instrumental in helping Thrive transition into becoming a trauma-informed campus.
Chelsea is passionate about mentoring the next generation of school social workers and has supervised several school social work graduate students. Her future goals for School Social Work are to create better processes for intensive therapeutic care for student with significant mental health needs and to help other school campuses across Louisiana be empowered to implement trauma-informed practices.
Brittany Gabriel, LMSW is a Behavior Interventionist with the Tangipahoa Parish School System, Special Education Department. She received her BSW from Southeastern Louisiana University and her MSW from Louisiana State University. Brittany has been working as a school social worker since 2016. She also works part time as a COPE Social Worker with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center since 2018. Currently, Brittany serves as Secretary of the Louisiana Association of School Social Workers.
Levillia Moore is an experienced nonprofit and education professional with a strong foundation in youth development, school-based mental health, and community engagement. For over a decade, she has worked closely with children, youth, and families—designing and managing programs that support the whole student while strengthening family and community systems.
Levillia has successfully led and administered over $3.8 million in federal grant funding, including a $1.8 million grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and a $2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education. These initiatives focused on expanding access to school-based mental health services, promoting student well-being, workforce development and building capacity for long-term support within educational settings.
She is a dedicated mental health advocate and active member of the Louisiana Association of School Social Workers. Levillia also contributes to national funding conversations as a grant reviewer for various federal agencies, bringing insight into program design, evaluation, and compliance. Her areas of expertise include contract renewals, partnership development, community collaboration, and outcome-driven reporting.
Beyond her professional work, Levillia is deeply rooted in her local community through youth-focused volunteerism and advocacy. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and operates a small local business—Lev by VeRochel, Co. combining her love for natural wellness, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
Melissa has been a social worker for 14 years, graduating from LSU, and is an LCSW-BACS, C-SSW.
Her social worker career started in the psychiatric field where she conducted psychotherapy groups and managed an outpatient program. She transitioned to a school social worker 8 years ago, where she found her passion. She currently holds the position of Lead Social Worker for LPSS, which has given her an opportunity to continue advocating for our children but also leading a team of school based social workers. Her team has been able to expand importance of mental health to our students and staff.
She has grown to realize she has so much more she wants to accomplish as a social worker. She enjoys teaching and guiding new social workers to finding their passion by supervising interns and LMSW for their clinical license. Her hobbies are binge watching netflix series, reading and participating in softball and cub scouts with her children.
She has been married for 13 years and has 2 daughters; they reside in Duson, LA.
Brandi Gonzales is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Supervisor of Student Services for the Tangipahoa Parish School System. She is a 1999 graduate of the LSU School of Social Work. Ms. Gonzales has been a school social worker for twenty-two years. She has served as a social worker in Pupil Appraisal and a special education therapist for Iberia Parish Schools, the State Supervisor of School Social Workers for the Louisiana Department of Education, the Supervisor of Child Welfare and Attendance for Lafayette Parish Schools and her current role in Tangipahoa. In addition to her school experience, she has also worked in medical social work, hospice, with the Juvenile Drug Court in Iberia Parish and both in and out patient psychiatric facilities. Ms. Gonzales was on the initial state implementation team for School Wide Positive Behavior Supports and Interventions and has dedicated the majority of her career to encourage districts to implement preventative and proactive behavior supports and social emotional learning for students. Additionally, Ms. Gonzales was instrumental in expanding a partnership between Tangipahoa Parish Schools and RKM Primary Care to provide 13 licensed mental health professionals to provide on-site therapy to students during the school day at no cost to their families. Ms. Gonzales has participated on numerous boards, special committees and even presented to the legislature on the importance of school mental health.
